About Us

PharmaForensics Laboratories was founded to assist patent litigators in directing the technical evaluation and analysis of life sciences, biotechnology and pharmaceutical products that are the subject of intellectual property disputes.

The rapid growth of knowledge within life sciences has led to an increasing number of valuable biotechnology and pharmaceutical products that contain proprietary components. Due to their high value, the inventors of these products are increasingly seeking legal action against competitors believed to be infringing on intellectual property rights. This type of litigation is extremely complex, and often requires teaming with skilled life scientists to create and execute a scientific patent litigation strategy, evaluate the disputed products, and provide non-biased evidence for legal proceedings.

The founders of PharmaForensics Laboratories recognized, through past experiences in patent infringement cases, that there is no single company that offers comprehensive scientific services that caters to the needs of intellectual property litigators. To fill this void, PharmaForensics Laboratories was established to serve as a “general scientific” consultant and partner, responsible for all aspects of the scientific discovery process, including directing the research activities (either in house or through contract research organizations), providing technical review and analysis of the scientific work, and helping to identify suitable expert witnesses for testimony.

The value of our service is globally recognized. We have worked with many top intellectual property legal firms, both nationally and internationally, in support of their litigation efforts. Our panel of nationally recognized scientists and consultants has multi-disciplinary expertise spanning the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, and genetics, which enables us to apply state-of-the-art experimental techniques to a wide range of scientific questions.

Our mission is to take on the burden of scientific discovery, so that you can focus on your legal strategy.

We look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey D. Kittendorf, Ph.D.
